According to the bank, ‘Mobile Money’ will allow Bank of the James online banking customers to view account balances, transaction histories, transfer funds and pay bills using their mobile phone.
Bank of the James executive vice president Brandon Farmer said mobile banking is the next step in banking technology as more people depend on their cell phones for everyday conveniences.
"Mobile Money offers secure and easy to use tools for customers to access up-to-the-minute account information and services – anytime, anywhere," said Farmer.
They can avail the online banking services by registering on the bank’s portal, which will allow them to access funds through a downloadable application, mobile web browser or mobile text messaging, claims the bank.
The bank has also provided a video as how to get started about the mobile banking.
