A Cisco Cloud and Managed Services Program (CMSP) member, Sungard AS was the first global service provider to deploy Cisco's Application-Centric Infrastructure (ACI) as part of its cloud services portfolio. With today's news, Sungard AS announces that customers will be able to connect their own private clouds with service-provider clouds to move their workloads into the Sungard AS cloud portfolio later this year.

Sungard AS is currently affirming its Intercloud Fabric Architecture environments and demonstrating how it will integrate with Cisco customers and partners looking to connect private and public clouds. Just recently, Sungard AS and World Wide Technology (WWT), a leading Cisco systems integrator with headquarters in St Louis, US, have demonstrated their joint ability to connect customer premise private clouds to service provider clouds in support of workload placement in in WWT's Advanced Technology Center. Workload placement can meet customers' reoccurring requirement for resource management, data availability, datacenter capacity challenges and seasonal business related spikes.
