The innovative Dutch mobile-only bank bunq and leader in biometrics-based authentication solutions Veridium announce their partnership to provide customers with the most secure mobile banking experience.

bunq's banking app will now use VeridiumID and its groundbreaking hand recognition software, 4 Fingers TouchlessID (4 Fingers). With their collaboration, Veridium and bunq present a world first in the financial sector to address consumers' need for fast, easy-to-use and safe mobile banking.

By capturing all four fingerprints at once, 4 Fingers has a higher level of precision and reliability for authentication than other biometrics such as face, voice or a single fingerprint.

Ali Niknam, CEO and Founder of bunq: "Our commitment to giving people control over their money again requires the latest technology and biometric authentication solutions. With 4 Fingers we guarantee an easy-to-use and safe banking experience in which users have access to real-time data."

"I believe bunq's banking platform is a market disruptor and we are delighted that bunq selected our biometric authentication solution to play such a critical function," says Todd Shollenbarger, COO of Veridium. "VeridiumID is flexible, secure and extendable, allowing bunq to scale to millions of users across Europe as it continues to expand its country coverage."
