Citi Israel will create a special receivables structure to collect and reconcile revenues from direct sales. This collaboration between the two companies is a result of a long-term relationship developed in recent years between Citi Israel and El Al.

Ralph Shaaya, CEO of Citi Israel, said: The cooperation with El Al reinforces our commitment to bring world-class products to the Israeli marketplace.

Nissim Malki, CFO of El Al, added: El Al sees in the internet an important channel, and as a global company, attributes importance to payment abilities in a wide range of currencies, as the wide range of the company’s flight destinations. The payment through the Internet will provide our clients the comfort and ease while ordering flight tickets directly from the company, and the cooperation with Citibank will provide us with the confidence of working with a leading company in its field.
