Capital Bank deploys Diebold Nixdorf VCP-Pro 7 software for ATM network

This move part of the Jordanian bank’s ongoing digital transformation.

Jordanian financial institution Capital Bank has implemented Diebold Nixdorf’s VCP-Pro 7 software across its network of Microsoft Windows 11-powered ATMs.

This move, part of the bank’s ongoing digital transformation and migration to Windows 11, marks the first deployment of the VCP-Pro 7 technology in the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (APMEA) region .

Earlier this year, Capital Bank operated VCP-Pro 7, together with Vynamic Transaction Automation and Vynamic Transaction Middleware, across its ATM network.

The integration enabled functionalities such as card issuance and the provision of personalised customer preferences.

Also, this established Capital Bank as the first institution in the local market to introduce this technology across a variety of ATM models.

Capital Bank chief information technology and transformation officer Adel Awad said: “Early adoption of Diebold Nixdorf’s VCP-7 Pro comes in line with Capital Bank’s modernisation vision, aiming to provide hyper-personalised, differentiating services to customers.

“This early upgrade unlocks several new capabilities, such as secure, modular, low-code and API-driven design principles, which together accelerate the delivery of new features and customisations compared to the previous version’s complex development process.

“The upgrade also helps the bank retain a competitive advantage by being proactive in product lifecycle management and avoiding carrying unnecessary technical debt in critical customer-facing channels.”

Diebold Nixdorf developed VCP-Pro 7 as part of its Vynamic Connection Points software range, designed to support multiple vendors.

When used together with Vynamic Transaction Middleware, VCP-Pro 7 provides Capital Bank with an advanced, cost-effective solution.

Diebold Nixdorf said the software was managed in partnership with Jordan Business Systems (JBS), its licensed partner in Jordan.

Diebold Nixdorf Middle East managing director Habib Hanna said: “We are proud to partner with Capital Bank in this transformative journey.

“VCP-Pro 7’s modular design and robust security features provide the scalability and adaptability needed to support the bank’s growth while ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards.

“This marks a major step in our mission to help financial institutions transform their operations with agile, cloud-enabled software, integrated services and innovative hardware designed for reliability and lifecycle support.”

In July this year, Kuwait International Bank (KIB), which operates as per Shari’ah principles, installed Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) from Diebold Nixdorf.
