UBI Banca is using Fundtech’s PAYplus FTS for SEPA and SWIFT payments in its home country as well as in Germany, with plans to expand further in the future.
UBI Banca chief operating officer Sonja Colli said Fundtech’s PAYplus FTS solution has made easy for the bank to extend its payments infrastructure to include SEPA.
Fundtech’s three payment system alternatives are Global PAYplus – SEPA, PAYplus FTS, and Integration Suite for Payments – SEPA. All these target a specific market segment or need.
The Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) is a European Commission (EC) and European Payments Council (EPC) initiative that plans to reduce the barriers of other countries payments and create a single set of standards for euro payments across the EU.
