Bill Borden has been appointed as a managing director and head of North America product solutions, while Dennis Sweeney has been selected as managing director and a treasury Solutions Executive.

Both will assume their new roles in September 2012 and will be based in New York, the US banking major said.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch global transaction services head Paul Simpson said Bill is a dynamic leader with more than 28 years of experience in financial services, sales and consulting.

"His deep knowledge of the U.S. transaction banking market and track record of successfully developing and implementing growth strategies will be key to deepening the product solutions we offer our clients," Simpson added.

Borden will oversee the North America product sales teams that cut across global corporate banking, global commercial banking and business banking.

Prior to BofA, Borden was working with Citigroup, leading the team focused on developing cash management and securities fund services relationships with US state and local governments.

"After nearly 30 years as a client of treasury sales groups and corporate banking relationship managers like ours, Dennis possesses intimate knowledge of the role that information plays within a treasury group and within a bank," commented Simpson.

Sweeney, as a treasury solution executive, will work with various teams and global product leaders to provide senior finance executives at Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s largest global clients with advice, expertise, best practices and trends related to their treasury platforms.
