Raiffeisen International Bank-Holding AG (RIB), a part of RZB Group, is deploying over 30,000 high security Optimum card payment terminals and PIN entry devices from Hypercom across 15 Eastern European countries. RIB has also purchased Hypercom Network Access Controllers (NACs) to optimize transaction delivery to the bank host system.
Hypercom said that its high security Optimum T4200/M4200 product family consists of 32-bit, multi-application devices that share the same platform, user interface and software toolkit to offer customers a broad range of communication options to meet the needs of diverse market segments.
Hypercom claimed that the MegaNAC180 POS concentrator supports a wide range of protocols, including TCP/IP, X.25 and Frame Relay. Fault tolerant, multi-function MegaNAC180 units can be interconnected to form intelligent networks that ensure POS transactions, software downloads and batch uploads.
Kazem Aminaee, MD of Southern EMEA at Hypercom, said: “By combining our Optimum payment terminals and MegaNAC180 network access controllers, Raiffeisen International is able to ensure the fast and secure acceptance of electronic transactions for thousands of retailers across Eastern Europe. With this agreement, we further strengthen our position in this strategically important region.”
Heinz Wiedner, COO of Raiffeisen International, said: “With Hypercom’s high speed, high performance payment terminals we can develop our card payments business with merchants in 15 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, providing them with the highest levels of security and service.”
