Standard Chartered has relocated its branch in Gate 3 of JAFZA to ‘The Galleries’ in the downtown Jebel Ali development – reported AME Info. The bank has said that the closure of the relatively smaller branch ensures the new branch is closer to many of its customers including the Bank’s large SME customer base.

The bank claimed that the new branch has an SME centre, additional meeting rooms, more parking for customers and the sales and customer service area is more than double the size of the old branch. The bank added that the new branch also offers electronic self service machines and special counters for premium banking customers.

Shayne Nelson, CEO, Middle East & North Africa, said: It puts us in a better position to support our customers and cater to their financial needs. We continue to shift towards becoming a truly customer centric organisation, and this new opening, in a prime area of Jebel Ali with over 6000 organisations close-by, is part of that focus. Having Wholesale Banking Relationship Officers on site will also benefit our Wholesale Banking clients, many of which are in the Jebel Ali vicinity.
