Alipay, a China-based online payment services provider and a subsidiary of Chinese B2B e-commerce giant Alibaba.com, has sealed a contract from Spring Airlines to deliver online payment services – reported The Paypers.
As per the terms of the deal, the airline’s customers are to purchase tickets online using the online payment services offered by Alipay. Alipay has also initiated similar contracts with other Chinese airlines, including Hainan Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Xiamen Airlines and China United Airlines.
Alibaba’s payment platform, Alipay is expected to provide customers online payment and settlement services. It delivers e-commerce payment technology and risk management system for banks and financial institutions.
