The network services will help UMB Bank to deliver on its strategy to migrate from a disparate private branch exchange communications system to a standard Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) platform. According to the agreements, AT&T will provide multiprotocol label switching-based virtual private network services, equipment maintenance services and a dedicated account team to support UMB Bank’s VoIP strategy. The new technology will enable UMB Bank to offer enhanced online banking, phone banking and additional services.
Bill Taylor, vice president of network engineering at UMB Bank, said: When UMB Bank set out to migrate to a VoIP system, we needed a solution that would not only provide a secure network but also a way to do business more efficiently. Considering these needs, AT&T stood out as the clear choice.
