Based in London, Baines will be responsible for asset servicing sales and marketing across the EMEA region.
She will report to Frank Froud, head of EMEA for the BNY Asset Servicing business.
Baines was formerly senior vice president, head of GFS Sales for EMEA at Northern Trust and before that deputy head of sales at Clearstream in Luxembourg.
She also worked for over a decade at Barclays, specializing in securities at Barclays Global Securities Services and subsequently as head of customer relations at Barclays Insurance.
Froud said that Sue has a great breadth of knowledge and experience when it comes to partnering with clients across all the key European markets. That expertise will be invaluable as the company continue to build new relationships with financial institutions and pension funds across the region.
