According to the bank, the mobile banking suite is equipped with a capability called mDeposit, which allows customers to deposit a check into their account directly through mobile device. The application uses the device’s camera to scan and deposit the check.

Other mobile banking features include the ability for customers to use a variety of mobile devices to check balances, track account activity, search transactions, and set up alerts for text or e-mail messages for changes in their account.

Through mobile banking application customers can also transfer funds between Rockland Trust accounts and identify the nearest branch or ATM directly from their phone.

Rockland Trust president and CEO Christopher Oddleifson said that the mDeposit app enables customers to make deposits quickly and securely right from their mobile phone. It’s now easier and more convenient than ever to bank with Rockland Trust, anytime, anywhere.

Rockland Trust’s network consists of 69 retail branches, eight commercial lending centers, four mortgage banking centers, and four Investment Management Group offices located throughout Eastern Massachusetts.
