Aditya Birla Group, the Mumbai, India-based multinational conglomerate, has entered into partnership with SBI Cards, the 60:40 joint venture between State Bank of India and GE Capital, to rollout co-branded cards in the next four to six weeks, reported the Business Standard.
Ajay Srinivasan, CEO of financial services at Aditya Birla Group, said that the collaboration would cover group companies and aims at strengthening its financial services operations in India, reported the newspaper.
The $29 billion group has retail customers across various sectors such as insurance, asset management and telecom. Mr Srinivasan added that the plan is to reach its 60mn retail customers being served by group companies like idea cellular and other retail businesses.
