Ajman Bank introduces Digital Extension to expand smart banking services 

The new digital facility allows customers to access core banking functions through a digital platform, focused on convenience and Shariah compliance. 

Ajman Bank, a UAE-based shariah-compliant Islamic bank, has launched Digital Extension aimed at expanding its range of technology-enabled banking services.

Ajman Bank said that the initiative complements its efforts to modernise its service delivery and address changing customer needs and accessibility.

The Digital Extension enables customers to open accounts instantly using an iPad-enabled onboarding service. It also allows users to access digital assistance and carry out several essential banking transactions electronically. 

Its service offering includes the issuance of IBAN certificates, liability and clearance certificates, reference letters, bank statements, and SWIFT message confirmations. 

The Digital Extension also enables customers to update their personal details and submit requests for postponements, all within the digital environment. 

Ajman Bank consumer banking head Faizal Kundil said: “The launch of our Digital Extension represents a practical step forward in how Ajman Bank delivers services to its customers. 

“Our focus is on simplifying everyday banking, reducing processing time, and ensuring customers can complete essential transactions efficiently, while maintaining strong governance, security, and Shariah compliance.” 

“Digital transformation at Ajman Bank is centred on creating solutions that add real value for customers. 

“The Digital Extension strengthens our ability to serve customers more effectively, while reinforcing our long-term commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and customer-centric banking”, he added. 

Ajman Bank said that the new Digital Extension combines automation and smart technologies to guide customers through various banking processes. 

These enhancements are said to support faster processing times and greater consistency across service delivery. 

Also, the Digital Extension complements the bank’s existing branch network and is part of a broader agenda to transform digital services and operational processes. 

Furthermore, Ajman Bank said that the launch aligns with its ongoing investment in digital infrastructure and service innovation. 

Ajman Bank of distribution head Mohammed Mardas said: “The Digital Extension reflects a fundamental shift in how retail banking services are delivered. 

“Customers today expect immediacy, clarity, and autonomy, whether they are opening an account, requesting documentation, or managing everyday banking needs. 

“By bringing together instant account opening, smart digital assistance, and a comprehensive suite of self-service transactions, we are enabling customers to complete key procedures seamlessly, without dependency on physical counters or manual processes.”
