Mr Trunz held senior financial, operating and other management positions supporting the global markets, securities, and investment banking businesses during his 20 years stint with JP Morgan and Company, a predecessor of JPMorgan Chase.
In 2002, after leaving JP Morgan, Mr Trunz became co-chief operating officer of the North Shore–LIJ Health System and president of North Shore health enterprises.
Yoshiaki Kawamata, CEO for Americas at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, said: “Bringing Charles Trunz on board as chief risk officer to lead our risk management and compliance functions will serve us well going forward . Our growth strategy demands superior systems for managing risk across an increasingly complex financial enterprise.”
