Bling Nation, a mobile payments provider, has partnered with Viaero Wireless, a nationwide wireless network provider based in Fort Morgan, Colorado, to provide mobile payments to the La Junta, Colorado community.
As a result, consumer transactions via Bling Nation’s community payments service are expected to sent over Viaero’s wireless network. Viaero Wireless provides SIM cards that go into the BlingTag Readers at the local merchant, which transmits consumer transaction information over the wireless network.
Bling Nation has said that it provides La Junta residents with local payments service that supports local businesses, while also allowing banks to avoid global network costs and keep money within the community.
