Under this agreement, Sinnad will be responsible to issue the latest chip enabled Diners Club credit cards as well as implement a system to monitor and manage the risk associated with the cards electronic transactions.
BMI Bank CEO Jamal Al-Hazeem said that Diners Club is today a globally recognized credit card brand that is accepted in more than 185 countries and at 14 million merchant locations with access to over 750,000 cash access locations and ATMs.
"Our new chip enabled Diners Club credit card, which will roll out shortly, will help in minimizing card-related frauds in addition to significantly improving the card acceptance at point of sale terminals and ATMs in the region and abroad." Al-Hazeem said.
Sinnad General Manager Ebrahim Janahi said that the issuing of Chip Diners Club cards will provide the customers of the bank with a safe and secure solution for all their electronic transactions that will be accepted on GCC and international networks, which in turn will allow the customers of the bank to conduct their transactions from anywhere in the world.
"Sinnad provides new and advanced technologies that have been developed for supporting ATM networks and credit card services to support banks in Bahrain and the Arabian Gulf region and enable them provide effective and secure banking transactions for their valued customers,"Ebrahim said.
