BNY Mellon Shareowner Services, the equity administration business of The Bank of New York Mellon, has been appointed as depositary in connection with the tender offer for common stock of GenTek by ASP GT Acquisition, a wholly-owned subsidiary of investment funds managed by American Securities.
In its role, BNY Mellon will provide a variety of services for the upcoming transaction, valued at $673m. American Securities is a US middle-market private equity firm that invests in market-leading companies in North America with annual revenues generally ranging between $100m to $1 billion. GenTek is a provider of specialty inorganic chemical products and valve actuation systems and components for automotive and heavy duty/commercial engines.
