The company has appointed four senior sales traders at its New York office, including Gregg Schreiber, Howard Finkel, Martin Schepsman and Christopher Parra, to lead this new product.
Schreiber, Finkel and Schepsman will serve as managing directors and sales traders, while Parra will act as a director at BTIG’s Interest Rate Group.
BTIG currencies and commodities fixed income head Anton LeRoy said, "The Rates group allows us to meet the demands and needs of our ever-growing client base and gives us another high touch point of contact with our clients."
As part of ongoing expansion of its equities trading division, the firm recently launched its FX business, and opened an office in Atlanta and is planning to add 100 employees to its global team during 2013.
