Peterson was a founding executive at Charter Bank in Bellevue, Washington, where he also assumed the position of president and CEO and spent ten years with the lender.
Prior to joining Charter Bank, Peterson worked as the statewide executive for middle market commercial banking for the state of Washington with Keybank, a $13bn lender headquartered in Seattle.
Peterson also served as president and CEO of a severely distressed bank in Bremerton, Washington.
For the last three years, he also carried out consulting work with bank boards and executives in Oregon, Washington, and Nevada on corporate governance and strategic planning.
The lender provides an array of commercial banking services to closely held businesses and professionals throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
