Chessiecap, a financial services company based in Maryland, said that Bradford Harries has joined the firm’s investment banking group as a partner.
Harries will provide strategic consulting, private capital raising, and merger and acquisition services to growth and technology companies in the Mid-Atlantic region.
He has transaction experience in wireless technology, telecommunications, information technology and clean technology sectors.
Harries will join Chessiecap founder Doug Schmidt as a senior investment banker and co-managing partner of the firm.
Harries has more than 30 years of investment banking experience with both Wall Street and regional firms in New York, San Francisco and Washington, DC.
From his base in Northern Virginia, Harries has acted as an independent investment banker, financial advisor and board member for selected technology clients since 2000.
Harries has headed corporate finance departments or served as a senior technology banker for Kaufman Bros, Furman Selz, Cowen & Company, Shearson Lehman Hutton and The First Boston.
Schmidt said that Brad brings an unparalleled level of experience and practical investment banking advice to a region rich in growth companies.
