Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) is all set to begin accepting China Unionpay (CUP) debit cards at its more than 3,800 automated bank machines (ABMs) through the INTERAC network.
Christina Kramer, executive vice president, CIBC Retail Markets, said: “CIBC is proud to be the first major bank in Canada to begin accepting China Unionpay cards through our ABM network. With over 3,800 ABMs nationwide – all of which feature Chinese language capabilities – CIBC and now CUP cardholders in Canada are never far from a machine when they need one.”
