Designed for smartphones, the Picture Pay is the first mobile point, shoot and bill pay application, which will enable customers to easily and securely pay any bill by clicking a picture of the bill with their mobile devices.
The customer will then have to simply enter the amount and payment date to pay the bill.
After reading the date from the bill, the new technology’s built-in analytics confirm the biller and then Picture Pay automatically executes through Allied Payment Network.
By identifying and automating payee set-up, the new service also rationalizes the payment process, which is especially supportive for customers’ non-recurring payments.
With the launch of the new application, the lender has added an additional functionality to its existing mobile banking application.
According to an estimate, more than 40% of City Bank’s customers, who are using its traditional online banking product, have implemented the mobile application, which is higher than the industry average.
Headquartered in Lubbock, Texas, City Bank Texas manages over $2bn in assets and operates 22 branch offices across Texas.
