Crédit Coopératif and Orange Bank have entered exclusive discussions regarding the former’s potential acquisition of Anytime, a fintech specialising in services for associations.
In this regard, the parties have signed a memorandum of understanding.
This step aligns with Crédit Coopératif’s “100% committed” strategic plan, which extends through 2030.
Anytime, established in 2014 and acquired by Orange Bank in 2020, provides digital account management and payment services tailored for professionals and associations. In recent years, it has developed specialised tools for expense management aimed at non-profit organisations.
Orange Bank CEO Frédéric Niel said: “We are pleased to have initiated these discussions with Crédit Coopératif, a cooperative bank that has a catalogue of offers that are fully complementary with that of Anytime.
“After a development period supported by Orange Bank, this opportunity allows Anytime to continue its evolution, especially in the Social and Solidarity Economy markets.”
The acquisition of Anytime is intended to bolster Crédit Coopératif’s market presence among associations. The French cooperative bank aims to enhance its distribution model with a fully digital offering designed to meet the needs of small associations.
Crédit Coopératif seeks to achieve over 6% market share in newly established associations by 2030. Additionally, it plans to improve services for large solidarity economy organisations through advanced expense management solutions.
The French bank is said to support a vast number of associations and non-profits. It offers a hybrid distribution model that includes a network of 68 business centres and multi-market agencies serving retail clients, businesses, and associations in major cities.
Remote banking is provided for individual clients and small associations across France. An impact investment bank focused on large-scale projects for social and solidarity economy organisations is also part of its offerings.
Crédit Coopératif CEO Pascal Pouyet said: “To achieve its growth ambitions by 2030, Crédit Coopératif aims to strengthen its digital offering, particularly for its small and medium-sized association clients. Anytime offers simple and innovative services that perfectly meet the new needs of this clientele.”
The employee representative bodies at both Orange Group and Crédit Coopératif are being consulted about this potential acquisition, which aims to be completed by the end of this year.
