Following the completion of the transaction, which was originally inked in November 2012, the acquired entity will trade under the brand name of EVO Payments International GmbH.
The acquirer said that the deal has enabled it as a principal member of Visa and MasterCard in 39 markets across Europe.
Additionally, Deutsche Bank’s Global Transaction Banking division and EVO Payments International have signed a multi-year strategic relationship agreement to carry out collective marketing efforts for card acquiring and related products on pan-European basis.
EVO CEO James Kelly said that the acquisition of Deutsche Card Services and its partnership with GTB offers important additional product and market coverage that is crucial in meeting the expanding needs of its customers.
The company has appointed Jens Mahlke to manage EVO’s European operations.
The privately-held payment processor is an acquirer for merchants, Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs), financial institutions, government organizations, and multinational corporations in the US, Canada and Europe.
