Aethra Asset Management, a new asset management firm, has been set up in Netherlands and Britain by two former employees of Dutch bank ABN AMRO, reported Reuters. Daan Potjer was head of tactical asset allocation portfolio management at ABN AMRO, while Marc Vernooij was the head of Euro fixed income.
Initially it intends to serve institutional clients and later plans to expand the services to retail investors once it obtains the necessary regulatory permissions. It says that the first products of the firm will be focusing on tactical asset allocation and European growth stocks.
The advisory board of Aethra will have Tom Cross Brown, the present ABN AMRO Asset Management CEO and Paul Hendriks, who is currently working at Dutch Rabobank.
Aethra said that Ilja de Vlaam, Chris Gould, Arjan Palthe, Khing-An Liem, and Bas Verlaat, who had worked at ABN AMRO Asset Management previously, are all set to join it.
