Fidelity said it will relocate its employees to Merrimack, Smithfield, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, in phased manner starting from July this year, with small number of job losses.
The closure of the Marlborough facility is likely to be carried out by the end of 2012.
In addition, Fidelity is planning to sell both the buildings it owns in Marlborough.
Fidelity has gradually reduced the number of employes from 46,500 at the end of December 2007 to 37,000 currently.
In the last five years, Fidelity reduced its workforce in Massachusetts to 8,400 from 13,000.
