First Financial Bankshares, has announced that its subsidiary bank, Texas-based Weatherford National Bank, is changing its name to First Financial Bank, to better benefit from the company’s growing brand identity.
Scott Dueser, Chairman, President and CEO of First Financial Bankshares, said: “We expect the current economic challenges to generate improved opportunities for acquisitions and want to be poised to take advantage of those opportunities as they present themselves.”
Doyle Lee, Chairman and CEO of First Financial Bank, said: “Even though it’s a new name, we will continue to be the same customer-focused, community-based bank with a local board of directors and a local bank chairman and president, who will continue to make local decisions.”
Jay Gibbs, President of First Financial Bank, said: “Our officers and employees will continue to serve our customers and be personally involved in and supportive of our community.”
