Global Payments, through its MineralTree business, has partnered with Sage to introduce an embedded vendor payments solution within the Sage Intacct platform.

This integration allows finance teams to manage and process vendor bills without leaving their existing software environment.

MineralTree specialises in providing accounts payable (AP) and payment automation solutions aimed at streamlining business payments.

The newly launched solution, Vendor Payments powered by MineralTree, is designed to simplify and secure the management of payables by enabling payment initiation directly from Sage Intacct. This integration removes the need for finance teams to manage separate systems or deal with delays associated with data syncing.

Global Payments B2B solutions head Brian Greehan said: “With so many finance teams overwhelmed by disconnected tools, our goal was to embed payments into the software they already use every day.

“This offering is about more than convenience. It’s about embedding payments seamlessly into the workflow so businesses can operate with more control, speed and confidence at a time when efficiency and cash flow visibility are critical.”

The solution addresses common challenges in accounts payable, such as fragmented tools and lack of visibility. By embedding payments directly into the Sage Intacct platform, users gain benefits including payments from existing bank accounts via Automated Clearing House (ACH), virtual card, and check, as well as direct debit funding for quicker payment settlements.

Additionally, it supports current workflows like multi-entity environments, approval rules, credits, discounts, purchase order (PO) matching, and provides real-time visibility into payment statuses within the system.

Furthermore, users can benefit from cash-back rebates on virtual card spends and enjoy a streamlined onboarding process. This approach exemplifies how embedded payments are evolving to meet the needs of modern finance teams, with potential expansion beyond Sage Intacct to other platforms that finance teams use regularly.

Sage financials and ERP division executive vice president Dan Miller said: “Finance teams want simplicity and efficiency – everything in one place.

“Embedding payments directly into Sage Intacct lets teams seamlessly approve and pay bills without switching systems, creating smoother workflows and freeing time for strategic tasks. This demonstrates how strategic collaboration within our partner ecosystem delivers impactful solutions that drive real results.”
