Indosuez Wealth Management, a branch of Crédit Agricole Group, has completed its previously announced acquisition of Banque Thaler through its Swiss subsidiary. The transaction, initially announced in April 2025, has secured approval from the necessary regulatory bodies, allowing Indosuez to acquire 100% of Banque Thaler’s capital.

This acquisition aligns with Indosuez Wealth Management’s strategy to enhance its market presence in Switzerland.

The legal integration of the two entities is anticipated by the end of 2025.

Founded in 1982, Banque Thaler is recognised for its expertise and high-quality services in wealth management.

With this acquisition now complete, clients from Banque Thaler are set to gain access to a broader array of products and expertise.

Indosuez Wealth Management CEO Jacques Prost said: “With Banque Thaler, we are strengthening our position in a key market and reaffirming our role as a major player in wealth management in Europe. This acquisition is part of our strategy: to remain close to our clients through agile local teams and one of the most comprehensive service offerings on the market, accessible wherever they are.”

Indosuez Switzerland CEO Marc-André Poirier remarked: “This partnership marks an important milestone for the bank, paving the way for a new dynamic of growth and opportunities in Switzerland.”

The acquisition is expected to have a limited impact on Crédit Agricole’s CET1 ratio.

Last year, Indosuez Wealth Management expanded Crédit Agricole’s presence in Belgium by completing the acquisition of Degroof Petercam.
