Old brings to Jefferies nearly 17 years of real estate investment banking experience and will join the firm from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was a managing director in the European Real Estate Structured Finance Group.
Previously, he was an executive director at NM Rothschild and Sons in their real estate investment banking group focused on real estate structured finance.
Jefferies global head of investment banking and capital markets Benjamin Lorello said the addition of Michael Old to their European team, together with the recent additions of Simon Hampton as European head of Real Estate, Gaming and Lodging Investment Banking and Steffen Doyle as European head of Gaming and Lodging, positions Jefferies with the depth of senior banking capability to provide best-in-class advice, structuring capability and execution to this major industry sector.
