Prior to rejoining JP Morgan, Walker co-founded KW Advisors, an advisory partnership, and became a strategic advisor to companies in various industries, including Dana Holdings.
Walker also served as a senior advisor to General Motors, working on corporate finance, capital budgeting, and restructuring issues related to GM’s automotive businesses including, Hughes, Fiat, Isuzu, GMAC and Onstar, as well as the divestiture of Direct TV.
From 1997 to 2001, Walker was a member of the Investment Bank’s Management Committee and served on the Board of Directors of Hertz Corporation.
At JP Morgan, his early assignment includes serving in South Korea and Japan, and then was based in New York from 1989 to 1997 to help build the firm’s mergers and acquisitions franchise and also co-headed the later for a span of three years.
Walker was also global head of Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Investment Banking from 1998 to 2000.
Apart from being active on several not-for-profit boards involved in the arts, Walker is also a board member of Liquid Environmental Solutions, a nationwide provider of non-hazardous waste water treatment services.
