In her new role, Davis will oversee the firm’s private wealth alternatives business, including strategies for private markets aimed at financial advisors and their clients.

She is expected to play a role in developing new offerings as well as expanding existing ones and will also be involved in client education related to private markets investments.

Stephanie Davis previously served as managing director and co-head of US Private Wealth Solutions at Hamilton Lane, where she was responsible for the strategy and management of private market offerings in areas such as secondaries, co-investments, credit, infrastructure, and venture capital.

Before Hamilton Lane, she headed capital formation efforts at LL Funds (Ultra Capital).

Besides, J.P. Morgan Asset Management appointed Sean Flynn as Private Wealth Alternatives National Manager.

Previously head of alternative investments for J.P. Morgan’s US Wealth Management division, Flynn will work closely with Davis.

He is responsible for managing a team of field-based client advisors across the country who focus on alternative investments education and engagement.

The group plans to expand to 20 dedicated professionals by year end, with the broader US Advisor organisation reaching a total of 350 staff.

Sean Flynn most recently managed alternative investment sales for J.P. Morgan’s US Wealth Management clients and has experience leading alternative investment distribution and partner relations at First Republic Investment Management.

In his current position, he oversees a team focused on expanding advisor adoption and client access to alternative investments across the US

Lundquist said: ”We are thrilled to welcome Stephanie and Sean on board. They are both proven leaders and will play a critical role in our continued commitment to help educate financial advisors on the rapidly evolving private markets space. Stephanie’s and Sean’s track records and deep experience specialising in serving this important client segment will accelerate our momentum as investor demand for alternative investments continues to climb.”

J.P. Morgan Asset Management reports over $600bn in alternative assets across a range of sectors, including real estate, private equity, private credit, infrastructure, and others.

Earlier this year, a report by the Wall Street Journal revealed that J.P. Morgan Asset Management is discontinuing its use of proxy advisory firms and will now handle shareholder voting in-house using AI.
