France-based Jware Technologies, a provider of secure electronic payment transaction software, has chosen Verizon Business to support its certification to a new payment card industry standard. Verizon’ security solutions team is assessing Jware’ payment applications to help ensure they meet the requirements for the new Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) certification.
Jware said that the new PA-DSS standard provides a secure payment applications that do not store prohibited data, including full magnetic stripe, PIN data and other sensitive data-identification methods. Verizon will conduct a thorough audit of Jware Technologies’ solutions to support the company’s bid to validate PA-DSS certification, before the end of 2009.
