Based in Beijing, Yan will join Lazard from Gide Loyrette Nouel, where she was an advisor on mergers and acquisitions and foreign direct investment projects in China, and was a partner in charge of the Beijing office for the past 12 years.
At Gide Loyrette Nouel, Yan advised clients on mergers and acquisitions in China and foreign direct investment projects into China across a wide range of sectors. She also advised Chinese companies on their investment projects in Africa and in Europe.
Lazard chairman and CEO Kenneth Jacobs said that Yan Lan is highly respected within the Chinese business community. Her breadth of experience will help Lazard further serve the growing M&A market in China and underscores the intentions to participate in the economic growth of this important region.
Lazard entered China in 2001, when it opened its office in Hong Kong and expanded to Beijing in 2006.
