Reporting to Roberto Tittarelli divisional president Western Europe, MasterCard Europe, he will be based in Paris and succeeds Emmanuel Petit, who has been assigned to serve another role in the company.

In his current position, Folbaum will implement the development strategy in the French market and strengthen the relationships between the firm and its partners.

Tittarelli said that Folbaum’s experience in the payment industry as well as in the retail banking sector will prove valuable to MasterCard’s operations in the country.

Most recently, he was acting as associate principal for the global management consulting firm McKinsey & Co France.

Prior to joining the aforesaid company, he held several positions at AGF -Allianz Group, and Goldman Sachs.

MasterCard manages one of the fastest payments processing network in the world, connecting consumers, financial institutions, merchants, governments and businesses in more than 210 nations and territories.
