In her new role, King will focus on consolidating MasterCard’s position in credit through partnership programs, including Priceless London, which rewards cardholders for choosing MasterCard.
King will report to MasterCard Europe president Javier Perez.
Perez said that Marion will drive the firm’s growth to build new partnerships and innovative technologies that transform the way consumers pay in a world beyond cash.
Prior to MasterCard, King served as CEO of VocaLink, a payments service provider to banks, corporations and governments, with operations across the UK and Europe. She also was MD for Global FX Transaction Services.
She also served various senior roles at Reuters in Europe and Asia for a period of 14 years.
