Meracord CEO owner and president Linda Remsberg said that getting a license was not an easy task as the Bureau extensively checks the firms’ efficient practices pertaining to their services.
"The approval means that the Bureau finds Meracord able to perform our obligations to our clients and customers efficiently and fairly, in the interest of the public and in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. The license means a lot to us and we are very proud of this accomplishment," said Remsberg.
The firm has been authorized to process payments in Virginia for personal and business use and is one of only 10 companies in the nation to hold money transmitter licenses in 40 or more states.
