Based on the terms of the agreement, money transfer services are now available at all Fuzhou RCB locations.
MoneyGram Asia Pacific and Middle East senior vice president Grant Lines said that the agreement with Fuzhou RCB, will help the company to expand its convenient money transfer services in the country.
"Consumers in both rural and urban areas around Fuzhou are now able to conveniently and quickly receive and transfer funds from loved ones around the world," Lines added.
A World Bank reports highlights that China is the second largest receiver country in the world with an estimated $60bn of money transfer receives.
The company said that using its addition of Fuzhou RCB to the network of 327,000 agent locations, Chinese residents in foreign nations can now send money to family and friends in Fuzhou and remote areas.
Established in 2011, Fuzhou RCB was first established in 1951 as Fuzhou Rural Credit Union, which has an expansive countrywide reach.
MoneyGram delivers money transfer services globally through a worldwide network of 327,000 agent locations, including retailers, international post offices and financial institutions in 198 nations and regions.
