Before joining Nasdaq OMX Iceland (then Iceland Stock Exchange) in 2002, Hardarson served as an economist at the National Economic Institute for three years.
Hardarson has served as Nasdaq OMX Iceland’s head of operations and vice president for nine years, working closely with and reporting to the former president, Thordur Fridjonsson.
Hardarson holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics from Yale University.
