The NCR SelfServTM 80 Series are currently available in the US and Canada among select markets. Their global availability is expected to follow through 2017 and 2018.
NCR said the new series is a mobile-ready ATM solution coming with a unique combination of innovation in software, hardware, and services to provide several benefits to customers and financial institutions alike.
NCR financial services vice president Jose Resendiz said: “Financial institutions need to be ready to offer the experience digital natives demand as they come of age and require more financial services.
“This launch fundamentally transforms the ATM to be perfectly aligned with how consumers want to bank and gives financial institutions a new way to realize omni-channel transformational strategies.”
An ATM in the new series from NCR features a 19-inch screen with multi-touch display giving a tablet-like experience to customers who can carry out transactions by swipe, pinch and zoom.
A video banking feature allows banks to provide high-touch, personalized service with a live teller on the screen helping the customer during the transaction.
NCR claims that financial entities can stretch their personal service coverage to the customer owing to the new video banking feature.
The company said the integrated video banking capability optimizes the way bank staff serve customers with mortgages, credit cards, deposits or auto loans throughout the network.
The NCR SelfServTM 80 Series is said to have a modern design with its media entry and exit indicators fully customizable and color-coded.
Apart from that, the new ATM machines also feature a 10-cassette cash dispense capability to decrease costs incurred on frequent cash replenishment.
