In his new role, Hutcheson will work closely with market users to develop new services to support the global over-the-counter (OTC) markets in response to regulatory reform.
Hutcheson will be based in London and report directly to Duncan Niederauer, CEO of NYSE Euronext.
Niederauer said Finbarr’s extensive global investment bank experience, and expertise on industry-wide operational issues, means that he is well placed to understand and champion users’ needs, and use NYSE Euronext’s global infrastructure and technology assets to make those innovations happen.
Hutcheson has over 15 years experience in derivatives operations and business development internationally. Having joined Fimat International Banque, Ireland, in 1995, he moved to London in 1996 joining Goldman Sachs.
His career with Goldman Sachs has spanned the past 15 years, where he initially managed the European derivatives clearing operations. He subsequently helped set up a cross-product clearing business within prime brokerage and more recently he was responsible globally for business development in the Goldman Sachs Futures Services business unit.
