A microprocessor-based secure personal device, Gemalto’s Optelio contactless sticker enables PrivatBank to provide an additional payment option to its existing customers on their mobile phone.
Capable of operating on any handset model, Optelio brings together size and communication performance at point-of-sale terminals that are contactless ready.
PrivatBank customers will have to attach the MasterCard certified Optelio contactless sticker to their mobile phone to securely use the contactless feature for small amount purchases.
PrivatBank, which serves more than 18 million customers in the country, has made the stickers available at all its branches and is also distributing it through retailers.
The bank offers services to more than 22 million corporate and retail customers in 12 geographies throughout the globe, including Russia, Georgia, Italy, Latvia, Portugal, China, UK, Cyprus, Germany, Spain, Kazakhstan.
