RBS has announced that William O’Donnell has re-joined the firm as managing director and Head of US Treasury Strategy within its global banking and markets (GBM) division.
William will be based in Stamford, Connecticut, and will report to John Richards, Head of markets strategy for GBM Americas.
William joins the firm after five years at UBS, where he was most recently managing director and Head of US interest rate research and strategy for the firm’s investment banking division, overseeing a six-person team covering US governments, mortgages, agencies and derivatives.
Mr. Richards said: “He is widely known and respected across the investor community for his prescient views on the fixed-income markets. It is an added benefit that he has a long-standing relationship with the fixed-income team here at RBS and we are delighted to have the chance to work with him again.”
