Maryland-based Sandy Spring Bancorp has elected David Fogg to its board of directors. He has expertise in managing domestic and international treasury matters, investment management, as well as mergers and acquisitions and corporate insurance.
Previously, he was with General Dynamics as Vice President and Treasurer, leading the risk management and banking activities of the company.
Hunter Hollar, Chairman of the board, said: “With the recent retirement of several long-serviced directors, it has been a goal to augment the skill and talent of our existing board with additional financial expertise and public-company experience. Dave brings this and much more, and we are very pleased to welcome him to our board.”
Daniel Schrider, President and CEO, Sandy Spring Bancorp, said: “He brings an important perspective on the major components of our strategic initiatives for growth and expansion. As a long-time resident of Northern Virginia, he will also enhance Sandy Spring Bank’s presence in that important market by chairing our Northern Virginia Advisory Board.”
