In relation to this, the company will start installing Ingenico’s EMV terminals from 15 June 2013, to ensure hassle free migration.
Designed to decrease forged fraud and increase security, EMV is a chip-based payment standard for offering card authentication protocol to users, which is being supported by all major card brands.
The company has selected Ingenico’s Telium2 series payment devices for its EMV terminals, as well as the company’s ability to provide suitable knowledge and expertise in the same area.
Signature Card Services operations vice president Anthony Urquidez said that the firm is dedicated to helping merchants embrace the change and will continue to spearhead education and support.
Owning over 20 million terminals installed in 125 countries across the globe, Ingenico has supported EMV transactions in Europe and Canada for over two decades.
