Tatra banka, a Slovakian bank, has claimed that it has ordered 150,000 smart card readers, divided between Todos A200 and Todos Signature. This follows an earlier order of 200,000 units for its internet banking customers. It said that this allows the bank to move beyond traditional one-time passwords, with all their security weaknesses, and equip customers with a secure device.
As part of Todos’s standard offering, both the A200 and Signature devices will be customized with the bank’s logo, color and localized manuals and on-screen text to ensure the user acceptance.
