Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Peter Kay as head of leveraged finance syndicate, a new position within the capital markets team. Mr Kay will be based in Hong Kong and will directly report to Philip Cracknell, global head of syndications.
Mr Kay will oversee leveraged finance within the syndications business apart from building the specialist function and upgrading its capabilities. He will manage key relationships with corporate and institutional investors. He will also lead and facilitate transactions originating from the bank’s acquisition finance team.
He brings over 19 years of experience in leveraged finance across Europe, the US and the Asia Pacific region. He joins the bank from Societe Generale (Hong Kong) where he was head of Asia leveraged finance syndicate and head of Australia syndicate.
