Swedbank has agreed to the sale of its local branch offices in Mariefred and Strangnas to Eskilstuna Rekarne Sparbank.

Swedbank said that, through the acquisition, Eskilstuna Rekarne Sparbank highlights its role as a local and regional actor, further strengthening its joint customer offering through its partnership with Swedbank in the local counties Eskilstuna and Stragnas. Simultaneously, Eskilstuna Rekarne Sparbank changes name to Sparbanken Rekarne.

The collaboration with Swedbank is important for Sparbanken Rekarnes’s future development as a professional and cost-effective bank service, added Swedbank.
